Aloha Friday - Regrets

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday, hosted by Kailani over at An Island Life. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day to take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So, on Fridays we can take it easy on blog posting, too.

I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer - nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, visit An Island Life where you can link up with your own question and also visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

What's something that you regret?...

I regret getting 6 inches chopped off of my hair earlier this year. I'm now impatiently waiting for it to grow again.

If I had 6 inches chopped off my hair, I'd regret it, too! :)

I can't think of anything I regret - that's gotta be a good thing! :)

Oh, I regret not being a better Mom when it comes to introducing food to my kid. Now she doesn't like the thing I like to cook. Too picky of an eater. I should of done better on that part of raising her.

This is going to sound so lame but it's a pair of bakelite earrings I donated that had belonged to a full set my mom had from the 1950's. I kept the matching bracelet because I thought I would wear it but then threw out the matching necklace when a simple jump ring failed. Oh how I regret letting go of the earrings and necklace. I had no idea at the time I would become a collector of vintage jewelry and know the value of a set like this. If I had repaired the necklace and kept the earrings, it would have been worth well over $300. the bracelet alone is probably worth about $80 - $100.

I regret not spending more time with my parents when they were alive. Not that I didn't spend lots of time with them, I saw them a few times a week and talked on the phone too. But...I still wish I'd spent more time with them. And I also regret not asking them more about events in their lives.

I regret not finishing my degree earlier. I got sidetracked by having a family :) (Don't regret my wonderful kids for one minute - just the timing of things.)
