Why do I do it?

Why, oh why? Why do I let myself go to the Petfinder website and look at dogs. It's not like we are looking for another dog. We are perfectly happy with our girl, Emma. Hubby would kick my butt for even thinking of getting another dog. But, still, I go to the Petfinder site and look at all the dogs in our area that need homes. And, I get so sad. So sad. I can't stand it. Seriously. I think I could someday become one of those old ladies with 100 cats - except I would have 100 dogs.

I am so right there with you. I would take in a ton of dogs if my son weren't allergic.

Amen sister. You know I'm going to be the crazy lady on the block with 100 cats and a dozen weinee dogs. When I was growing up, I took piano lessons from this woman who had what seemed like dozens of chihuahuas. They would run around the house and pee on everything, including the piano legs. She had a piano that Liberace gave her and her dogs would lift their legs on it. They would always try to bite our ankles and when she played they would howl. Her house always smelled like a kennel, but she was the best piano teacher. That will be me one day....without the musical talent.

Have you seen the commercial about neglected animals that comes on? The Sarah McLaughlin song, "Angel", is playing as they show those sad, sad little animals. Breaks my heart.

I do the same thing! If we did get another dog, we would also have to deal with attorney's fees because our dog will certainly take us to court for neglect if we don't give her 100% of our attention.
