I will stay positive

I will focus on staying upbeat and positive. At least I will try.

Today I took an itty bitty baby step towards the whole going back to work thing. I ordered a couple of at-home courses that I can use if I decide to renew my nursing license. It's not much (only 32 hours, I need a total of 120 hours). But, it's a start. Baby steps, people!

It was back-to-school for the kids today. Except for my oldest. He decided to come down with a stomach virus last night at bedtime. Looks like it was just a short 12-hr. case, he's feeling better this afternoon. Hopefully, the rest of us will not catch it.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I've been really stressed out. For the entire month of December I spent a huge amount of time reading. I always love to read, but, this past month, in particular, I think it was just a means of escape for me. So, in keeping with the theme of staying positive and using reading as a stress-reliever, I was wondering - is anyone up for a quick and easy book swap? I'm thinking something really simple. Share a favorite book and one little goodie or treat to help see your partner through the rest of the winter. What do you think? If I get a few people who are interested, I will set it up. Let me know....

That's all for now. I'm off to make potato salad. Remember, leave a comment if you want to do a book swap.

Kari, I would love to do a book swap with you, but as you know I now have my boyfriend...the kindle. However, I do have many books that I would love to send you as a token of my friendship. If you would like them, send me an email and I will send you a list of the books I have...if you haven't read them, then, they are yours.

ON another note. Don't beat yourself up about the whole work thing. It's tough to not know what you want to do. I'm sure that something will come up. It's too bad you don't live closer you could come work with me. I need a new assistant. Ugghhh..never mind, I made the last one cry. IN my defense, she was a wacko.

OH, and by the way, I wanted to thank you so much for the Starbucks card, although it was totally unnecessary. I'm such a slacker for not getting back to you before now.

Ok, I have written enough..kind of like a book that takes you forever to read. I'm apparently in need of some converstion.

Take care friend.
