Top Ten Thursday - Places I Like To Be

I'm participating in A Kiss & A Peck's Top Ten Thursday meme. Click here to say hello and play along.

Top Ten Places I Like To Be: (these are in no particular order)

1. At home - Really. This is my favorite place to be. I'm a big-time homebody. I like to have all my family at home, tucked away safe and sound.

2. In my bed - This goes along with being at home, I suppose. But, I just love my big comfy bed.

3. In a bookstore or library - I could spend hours browsing around looking at books. As a child, I always looked forward to going to the library with my mom each week.

4. At the beach - There's nothing better than walking along the edge of the water, looking for shells and listening to the waves.

5. Thrift store or antique store - It's fun to look around and see what treasures you might find.

6. In the dark - This might sound weird, but, I love the dark. I hardly ever turn lights on in the house. I want it to be really dark when I'm sleeping. My favorite days are dark, cloudy ones. And, my favorite time of day is after dark.

7. Chicago - I've only been twice, but enjoyed it so much. It's so cool and very different from where I've always lived.

8. My parent's house - I love the feeling of comfort and safety I get whenever I'm there.

9. At a movie theater - Going to see a movie is one of my favorite things to do. It's just such a nice little escape.

10. The mall - I can't say that I'm a big shopper these days, because our budget is always tight. But, I do love being at the mall.. walking around window-shopping, checking out the latest fashions or housewares, and even just people-watching.

I love to be at home, as well. I think it might stem from moving so many times as a child. Ditto for the thrift and antique stores too!

Thanks for stopping by and taking part in TTT!
