Pampers Little Miracle Mission - $50 AMEX Gift Card Challenge and Giveaway

This giveaway is now closed

In celebration of its 50th birthday, Pampers is recognizing how much parenting has changed over the years, and is sharing their belief that every baby is a little miracle that deserves to be celebrated, supported and protected, by unveiling its Little Miracle Mission campaign – a program that delivers acts of kindness to miracles and their families while encouraging parents to support others.

The brand recently kicked off the Little Miracle Missions campaign by delivering a giant act of support –donating care packages to Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) across the country. Celebs Joey Lawrence , Ali Larter, Mark Consuelos and LaLa Anthony were on-hand in New York City to personally deliver a care package and thank you basket to Mt. Sinai Hospital and their staff.

Take a look at this sweet Pampers commercial...it's a beautiful tribute to little miracles everywhere!

The public can easily participate in the Miracles Missions programs, and support little miracles across the country, by logging on to Pampers Facebook page (Facebook.com/Pampers). Pampers is also asking everyone to pay-it-forward by participating in the first Little Miracle Mission- to congratulate and offer support to an expectant mother with a gift or surprise gesture. Once more than 2,500 people pledge that they have achieved this mission, Pampers will respond by giving baby showers to expectant mothers nationwide just in time for Mother’s Day. Pampers will issue different missions throughout the entire year to celebrate all aspects of parenthood, and with the help of parents, family and friends, they hope to touch the lives of every baby born in the next year. As a side note, anyone who pledges is automatically entered to win a year's supply of Pampers diapers and wipes!

I was so honored when Pampers invited me to take part in this worthwhile campaign. Pampers provided me with a $50 American Express Gift Card and challenged me to use it to perform a random act of kindness within my community. This random act of kindness could be anything - donating diapers to a new mom or buying groceries for a family in need - anything that I feel would benefit and celebrate a little miracle.

I decided to use the $50 American Express Gift Card to help a local elementary school teacher buy supplies for her classroom. I felt like this would help many little miracles, as all of her students would benefit. We all know that funding for schools is often lacking and teachers often have to use their own money for purchasing supplies for their classrooms. I was happy to be able to help out in this way.

Giveaway
Pampers would like to extend this same challenge to my blog readers. I have one $50 American Express Gift Card for giveaway. If you win, you are encouraged to use the card to pay-it-forward and deliver a random act of kindness within your own community.

To enter, simply leave a comment telling me how you might use this gift card to celebrate a little miracle.

Entries will be accepted until 12:00 Noon EST 5-17-11. One random winner will be selected. U.S. entries only please.

Disclaimer:
Pampers provided the two $50 American Express Gift Cards (one for myself and another for one of my blog readers).

Here in North Carolina we had a lot of people affected by the recent tornadoes. I would gift the $50 to a needy mom.

I’d give this GC to my cousin who is going to have baby in Oct. He is only 17. When he told us he is going to get married last year. All of my family told him ” Don’t do it !” Yet, he got married and now they are expecting a kid. He is just like a star on 16 and pregnant. I think they could use all the help we could give them.

I would give this gift card to my neighbor. They have five young children and are struggling to afford things. The youngest two are twins, and their birthday is coming up. THis would be a wonderful way for them to get the twins a special birthday gift!

I would happily donate this to the Food Shelf where I volunteer.
Higher grocery prices, more needs.
Thank you.

I would make up donation baskets for people in my state who were affected by the recent bad weather Between coupons and sales I regularly score free/nearly free health and beauty items (I haven’t paid for shampoo or deodorant in YEARS), diapers and wipes. I would put this GC towards purchasing these items (coupons, and the OOP).

I normally donate these to the local food bank but I could drop off these items @ NC State instead. My son goes to school there and even he has been inspired to volunteer with the cleanup effort.

We often donate to a local charity that helps unwed/addicted mothers and their children. We usually donate clothing, baby formula, wipes/diapers. Instead of giving the mothers cash, they get gift cards and donated items.
Recently, they published their immediate needs list, which includes enfamil, hair brushes, detangling spray, antibacterial soap.
