Guilt-Free Snacking with Harvest Snaps

This post was created in partnership with Harvest Snaps. I have been compensated for this post. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

As a mom to teenagers, snacks are a big part of our daily lives. The kids want grab-and-go snacks that taste great. I want that too, but I also want to provide foods that are healthier than your average junk-food options.

I recently learned about a new line of snacks called Harvest Snaps - "chip-like" snacks that are made from whole lentils and whole peas.

I received a pack of Harvest Snaps in various flavors to try out.  I have to admit, I was somewhat skeptical. Would something made out of lentils and peas really be a hit with my picky teenagers?

After sampling all the flavors, I can say we are now big fans of Harvest Snaps. They look a bit like french fries but are crispy and light like potato chips. The flavors are good. Depending on which you choose, there are some that are quite zesty and others that are more mild. My favorite is the Tomato Basil Lentil Snaps. My kids like a little more zing so they really liked the Wasabi Ranch Snapea Crisps.

The Lentil Snaps are made from 65% whole lentil and have less fat, more fiber, and less sodium than regular potato chips. The Snapea Crisps are made from 70% whole peas and also have less fat, more fiber, and lower sodium than regular chips. The Snapea Crisps are also gluten free. As I mentioned above, they come in a variety of flavors so there is something for everyone.

Now, when my family is looking for tasty but healthier options for snacking, we can turn to Harvest Snaps. They will be perfect for lunchbox additions or just anytime that we want something tasty for munching.
