Today, let's talk chili. Now that the crisp cool autumn days are here, it's the perfect time to enjoy some chili. I was talking with my daughter's piano teacher about this and was surprised to learn that she had never had chili with spaghetti noodles - she never even heard of anyone putting spaghetti noodles in their chili. What? That's the only way we've ever made it, but, maybe it's not as common as I think.
I like my bowl of chili (made with spaghetti noodles) with a couple of crushed-up saltine crackers and some shredded cheddar cheese on top. And, I like mine to be pretty mild; I don't do spicy. My husband adds jalapeno slices to his bowl.
What about you? How do you make chili - with or without spaghetti?

I have never made chili, but my mom Omix4.blogspot.com makes the best chili ever. She uses sugar.
I usually make chilli with cornbread on the side.

Hmmm...I've never heard of chili with spaghetti noodles either! I have heard of it with rice, but never made it that way. I make mine the way my husband's grandma does, meat, beans, chili seasoning, and a lot of tomato juice. I like my chili more like a soup than a stew.

Chili with spaghetti?? I have never heard of that. May have to give it a try. I just made chili this week (w/o noodles of any kind). We usually just sprinkle some crushed doritos on top.

I've never heard of chili with spaghetti but that sounds really good! I don't usually make chili since I'm not that great a cook, although I have been learning new things and I would like to try it with the spaghetti!
I've never tried chili with spaghetti. I did have a friend make that once at a potluck a loooooooong time ago. It was tasty but I had forgotten about it until you asked this question.
How funny is this; I made chili today. Also, not too spicy and I see I have a great referral from KIKI. I make mine with dark red kidney beans. I can honestly say, never thought of spaghetti.
