6 Days till Christmas!

Oh my! I just noticed my little Christmas countdown banner...and I see that there's only 6 days until Christmas. Now, I was actually already aware that there were only 6 days until Christmas, but, seeing it right there in bold print in front of my face is making me go into a little panic. I mean, there are ONLY 6 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS! I still have about 6 or 7 gifts to buy (mostly gift cards so it's not a big deal) and I have not even baked one single thing yet. And, my house is quite a mess. I really need to get busy. Today is the last day of school for the kiddos and hubby will be going to Florida on business until Saturday. So, I have high hopes that I can kick myself into gear and get a lot accomplished on Thursday and Friday.

My side of the family has our Christmas celebration on Christmas Eve. Each year, we choose a different theme for our dinner (buffet style). Last year we did mexican foods. The year before was soups and sandwiches. This year we are doing breakfast/brunch. I'm looking for a good (and easy) muffin or scone recipe. Does anyone have suggestions?

MY house is such a mess! At least I feel like it's a mess. I'm done Christmas shopping. I just have to wrap everything. All the presents are in my closet! I can't even step into it to get my clothes out!

I'm in the same boat as you...almost done shopping, but not quite. There is a lot of wrapping left though. My husband is currently in Atlanta on business and we just had the holiday concert at the high school tonight. Funny though, everything eventually gets done. Remember to breathe. Susan

Please...asking ME for a recipe is an effort in futility. lol I'm lucky if I boil water without starting a fire.

I can't believe Christmas is so close either. My best friend is coming in tomorrow from Florida and staying until Christmas Eve (she wants to get back to be with her grandkids on Christmas day). I've been rushing around for the past 3 days doing last minute gift shopping, food buying, mailing packages, blah, blah, blah. I'm fixing to pull my hair out!!! lol
I had just leaned back, took a deep breath and said "ahhhhh, I'm done", when I realized I still hadn't bought my BFF anything for her birthday, which is January 1st. I do this every year. lol I don't know why it's so hard for me to plan for her birthday. I never forget it - I just forget how fast it comes after Christmas. But hey, other than my traditional panic over her b-day gift, I'm doing pretty good with my stuff this year. (Now I'll wake up in the morning and realize I've forgotten something really, really important. LOL).
Merry Christmas!!

The themed buffet idea is neat! We always do lasagna and appetizers on Christmas Eve. Good luck on getting all in order and bought. I'm always down to the wire on things it seems. Merry Christmas.

I know! Wow, I was just thinking today that I'll need to wrap presents this weekend because Christmas is TUESDAY!!! AAAHHHHH!

I'd be finished with the shopping if I would just stop the shopping...

Sorry, I don't have a good scone/muffin recipe. I usually use a box mix;)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
