~*~*~Movie Giveaway~*~*
If you know me even a little, you know that I am a huge movie lover. Awhile back, I participated in the 'Bloggy Giveaway Carnival' by giving away a 'Movie Night' gift basket. It was so much fun, that I've decided to do it again. This time, the prize package will consist of one of my favorite grown-up Christmas movies and a package of Hershey's Hot Cocoa mix to enjoy while you watch the movie. The DVD is titled Joyeux Noel. Click on the link to read about it. My copy shows a rating of PG-13, however, on Amazon.com it shows a rating of R. I personally feel that it should be rated R. This is definately not something I would have my children watch, as there is some sexuality and scenes of war violence. It is a foreign film, so there are subtitles at times (I happen to love foreign films, but, I know some do not) It's a very powerful and touching story. To enter the giveaway, just leave a comment on this post telling me one of your favorite Christmas movies. I will take comments until 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 4th. Then I'll randomly draw and announce the winner later that day. Feel free to mention this giveaway on your blog if you would like.
DISCLAIMER: Yes, I am paranoid, but, here it is...movie is for grown-ups! Contains scenes of sexuality and war violence. Hershey's Milk Chocolate Hot Cocoa mix included, do not drink if you have allergies. That's all, I think. Happy commenting!
****Ooops! I just thought of something else to add to my disclaimer. I'm sorry, but, due to postage prices, I can only offer this giveaway to those living in the USA. I'm sorry, really. And, also, I'm thinking that my DVD may not even work outside of the USA, is that right? As I'm looking back and rereading the above post, I realize that this movie doesn't sound very festive and Christmas-y. It's not. So, I will again mention that it is a serious, dramatic movie, but, a heartwarming one. I just want you to love the movie as much as I do...okay people!

Love the disclaimers! But I'm fearless (except when it comes to crazy neighbors and flying!) so count me in.
Merry Christmas!
Kari
I first saw Sleepless in Seattle during Christmas, and since then this evergreen movie begs me to watch it come Holiday season. I know it's not a really Holiday movie per se, but it somehow ... fits, you know. That and those humorous Tim Allen movies, Santa Clause series. I love them!
I love subtitle films. My favorite Christmas movie is It's a Wonderful Life. I really get into older movies as well. :)
Kari sent me over. And the disclaimers were reason enough to peek at your blog and take a stab at the drawing. Thanks!!
Love,
Julie
This sounds like something my hubbie would really like. And I'm all for the subtitles. Count me in.
I'm here via Kari's blog (the other Kari lol). Please add my name to your draw, I love movies also and haven't seen this one. I don't have any kids at home so it's safe and that way I can watch it and drink all the hot chocolate myself! hehe My favourite all time Christmas movie is "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation":-) xox
Another Kari sent me over...my sweet slightly paranoid very pessimisstic neice Miss Kari at Living Large...another movie nut being heard from, Moi...I love Christmas movies and even the debonair adult films...is Cary Grant in it? My Lord I love that man...but of course It's a Wonderful Night is one of my fave Christmas movies, after Scrooge...the 1950's version...it doesn't have to be in colour to be good! So enter me please...I'm game!
I am thrilled to enter a contest where the disclaimers are as entertaining as any film I've seen in recent memory.
Happy Holidays!
What a cool and thoughtful give-away. I've never seen the movie, and honestly it's been ages since I've had hot cocoa. Please enter me. Thanks so much!
The other Kari sent us over- we love a great giveaway!
Sign us up for such a great movie- sounds like a perfect night in with us and our hubbies!
blessings,
kari & kijsa
Kari,
You forgot to add to watch the movie with the lights on because we might perhaps trip on something if we get up in the darkness!!
