After losing her job as a Los Angeles librarian, frumpy Jane decides to go on a grand adventure. She travels to Costa Rica as a kind of last hurrah to her pathetic, lonely life. While there she meets Juan, her charismatic and friendly tour guide, and slowly begins to rethink her future.
I absolutely loved this movie! The story is sad yet sweet, funny, and romantic, too. The film stars Marcia Gay Harden, as Jane, and Oscar Jaenada, as Juan. Both are brilliant at portraying their quirky and awkward characters.
