Philip Seymour Hoffman is brilliant as the great American writer, Truman Capote. In 1959, a Kansas farm family is brutally murdered. Capote decides to travel to Kansas to learn more about this crime. Through his research, he ends up becoming quite close with the accused killers. After extensive time spent with the accused, Capote goes on to write one of his most famous works, In Cold Blood.
