Purex Crystals and Jockey Sports Bra - A Perfect Pair (with Coupon and Giveaway)

~This giveaway is now closed~

It's a new year, and like so many others, I have resolved to exercise more. I'm trying to hit the treadmill or take a walk through my neighborhood at least four days per week. Sticking to this resolution is not easy for me. I'm always looking for things that can motivate me or make working out feel a little less like a chore.

One thing that helps me feel cool and comfortable during workouts is the 2012 Jockey Tech Terry Performance sports bra.

Check out some of it's performance features:
  • Moisture-wicking sports bra helps keep you cool & dry
  • Convenient key pocket so you can take your workouts anywhere
  • Reflective logo at the back
  • Breathable mesh panels
  • Soft bottom band for comfortable support
  • Machine wash & dry
The Jockey sports bra is 93% Polyester, 7% Spandex (Lining is 94% Polyester, 6% Spandex). Normally, performance sportswear is not compatible with fabric softener. This is because the oil content of most fabric softeners prevents the wicking process. But, now, thanks to Purex Crystals fabric softener, you can safely and effectively freshen your athletic wear (and most of your other clothing, as well).

Purex Crystals are 92% natural crystals that you put in at the beginning of your wash cycle. This allows the crystals to spend more time infusing your laundry with long-lasting freshness. And, as mentioned above, it does not contain oil so it is safe for all of your laundry.

So, Purex Crystals and Jockey are the perfect pair to help me along in my goal to exercise more in the new year. Something as simple as feeling fresh and dry is actually a big motivator for me. I tried out the Tropical Splash variety of Purex Crystals. It has a nice, crisp scent that is not too heavy or perfumey. And, while the scent is definitely not overwhelming, I'm impressed with it's staying power. It really lasts!

My fitness tip is to walk. If you can't go for a walk....when you are out running errands, park a little further away from your destination and walk.
Thanks!

A laundry tip is that I use baking soda in the water to remove stains and give it an extra boost of clean.

Here's a fitness tip: If you have kids, enlist them to be your motivational coach. They will love the fact that they get to boss you around by telling you it's time to work out.

My fitness tip is find a workout buddy. They will keep you accountable when you are feeling far too lazy too go to the gym. I can't ever seem to make it to the gym by myself.

Laundry tip - have a "system" - wash and fold (or have kids help fold) and each person puts own laundry away.

My tip is to shake out your towels when you take them from the wash before you put them in the dryer. They won't stick together, they dry more evenly.

I keep a bucket of Oxi Clean in our bathroom. Our baby girl makes so many messes that having it right there makes it so much easier to pre treat stains before they become set it.

Laundry tip: a grease fighting dishwashing detergent (almost any brand works) will get out many food stains kids get on their clothes. Most foods have an oil base that responds to the grease fighting properties of the dishwashing liquid. Just put a little drop on there and rub it in, then launder as usual. For everything else, Charlies laundry pre treat is awesome!

Fitness tip - even splitting your workout into 3 10 minute segments is better than nothing! :) If you don't have time to squeeze in a 30 min workout

My laundry tip is to ad baking soda because it makes the clothes extra clean. Thanks for the giveaway!

When I'm bleaching whites, I let the tub fill and agitate for a few moments then raise the lid to stop the cycle and let them soak for 5 minutes like that. Then I close the lid and let the cycle complete. It makes a huge difference in whitening in just those few minutes. Thanks!
