Aloha Friday - Alarm Clock

In Hawaii, Fridays are a day to take it easy and get ready for the weekend. In honor of Aloha Friday, Kailani over at An Island Life came up with this fun and easy Friday meme. Simply post something on your blog which readers can respond to quickly and easily. Then, visit An Island Life to link up and visit other Aloha Friday participants.

When it comes to alarm clocks, I tend to have some obsessive-compulsive habits. For example, I always set the time on my alarm clock about 4-6 minutes fast. And, when I set the alarm, I will only set it for a time that ends in 4 or 7 (like 6:07 or 8:14) - yes, this is very weird, I know. It kinda drives my husband crazy. But, like I said, I am obsessive-compulsive about such things (especially about the numbers 4 and 7). Another thing I do is repeatedly hit the snooze button (sometimes I might set my alarm early enough so that I will be able to hit the snooze button enough times for a good 45-60 minutes of extra sleep). Yes, I realize this is probably weird too, LOL! I am not a morning person at all, and I just need to feel like I'm getting every possible little bit of sleep that I can.

What about you? What are your alarm clock habits?

Are you a fan of the snooze button or do you get right up with the first sound of your alarm?

Do you wake up to music or that loud annoying buzzing sound?

My hubby always gets up around 6:30 so I'm awake then and stay in bed about 15 more minutes and then up and at 'em! I get the most done early in the morning! So no alarm clocks except when we have to get a really early flight somewhere!!

The clock next to my bed is set fast as well, but i tend to ignore that one and use my alarm on my mobile phone, so each day I'm woken up to Pink singing So What

I'm one of those freaks who doesn't need an alarm clock. Just genes I guess.

Have a great weekend!

I always set it for a weird number too. Never 7:00 or 6:35 AM, usually 7:03 or 6:57 or something. And then I have to check several times that it's correct. OCD...yep.

My wife (@TheAngelForever) is in charge of setting the alarm clock. Most mornings it isn't needed, though as Alarm Clock #1 (6 year old NHL) will wake up by 6:30am and Alarm Clock #2 (2 1/2 year old JSL) will wake up by 7am.

We have yet to find a way to hit their snooze buttons on the weekend though.

I kinda do the same thing (except the 4 & 7 thing.) I recently set my clock about 10 min. ahead of the real time too. To 'trick' myself into getting up. Doesn't usually work though. Then I set the alarm about 20-25 min earlier then I have to get up & hit snooze every 9 min. when it goes off. Until the time I really have to get up.

I have annoying buzzing - no music.

LOL, I just wrote about this today! I'm a re-setter, over and over and over!

I keep checking to make sure I set it properly especially if I'm on a layover. Sometimes I have the hotel wake-up call scheduled as well as 3 of my own alarms!

I have the alarm clock set for the right time. I put it on a little earlier in the winter months to asses the weather. In the warmer months, I keep it later since we can sleep that bit extra without worrying about cleaning up outside.

I don't use the alarm clock b/c I'm a SAHM. BUT my husband does and I MAKE him use the music b/c that loud beeping freaks me out! And he almost always hits the snooze, where I would jump up.

I set the alarm on my cell for 20 minutes before I have to get up, but usually get up before it goes off.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the snooze button! I will push snooze many times! Unlike my husband who's alarm goes off once and he is up...

Wow.. that's a lot of questions huh.. hehehe.. Anyhow, we're quiet the same.. am a night owl person too. I set my alarm clock in advance before myself to get ready and then, I end up hitting the snooze button. The result, am always on eleventh hour in an appointment. :) But for important ones, I am always on-time especially those very important appointments.

My Aloha Friday

Have a great happy Easter! :)

I am a snooze button Queen too! I hate getting up in the mornings. I am so not a morning person. My alarm clock is usually set 15 minutes ahead of time, I hit the snooze at least 3 times before I get up!
