I think taglines are such a fun and important part of your blog. And, yet, I don't have one. Taglines give an instant first impression to someone who has landed on your site. They might even make the visitor decide whether he/she wants to stick around and read more. Although I've devoted time and effort to thinking up a creative tagline for my blog, I just haven't been able to come up with something that I really love. And I have to really love it. My blog isn't focused on one main thing. I know they ("they" meaning the social media experts) say you should "define your brand" or "choose your niche" (do they really say that? I don't know but it sounds like something they would say). But, for me, blogging isn't about any one specific thing. It's about whatever thoughts or issues might be going on with me or my family at the time. Or, maybe it's about the great book I just read. Or, the cool new beauty product I just bought. Maybe I'll share a useful website that I found. I might even tell you about some silly thing my dog did. It's very personal to me. Parenting, family life, movies, books, shopping, product reviews, giveaways - these are all things you might find me yapping about on my blog. So, I want a tagline that expresses all that. In two short clever lines or less.
Below are a few ideas that I've come up with. A couple of them are kinda-sorta growing on me. But I'm not sure. Let me know which is your favorite. If they all sound lame, you can tell me that, too. Or, if you can think of something better, I would love your suggestions. Vote for your favorite in my sidebar poll then leave a comment to let me know you voted (comment can simply say "I voted" or you can offer other tagline suggestions, etc). To show my appreciation for your help, how about a $10 Starbucks Gift Card for one random commenter...I'll close the giveaway at noon EST on September 28, 2010. Giveaway only available to U.S. residents. Thanks for your help!

I voted, (though it's not registering for some reason). But I like the idea of not listing every single thing. It's a blurb of the the blog, not a list...
I like number 6. I'm going to vote now. I also thought of this possibility:
a warm and welcoming place to share, laugh, and reflect

I went with #1. short and sweet and to the point.
I voted for #1, too!
I voted for #9, though I think #5 and 7 were good too. Though I liked the catchiness of #1, I think that if you are looking to increase your traffic though searches, that your site would appear more readily if you had the words "product reviews", "giveaways", "points of view" etc. In the tagline. For a reader with limited time, a mommy who can only steal a few moments a day to check which blogs might suit my needs, having a few "key words" at the top will help me sort out the wheat from the chaff, so to speak.
Just my two cents:)
