Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday, hosted by Kailani over at An Island Life. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day to take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So, on Fridays we can take it easy on blog posting, too.
I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer - nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, visit An Island Life where you can link up with your own question and also visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
Last night and this morning we've seen our coldest temperatures of the year. Right now it's 32 degrees and last night it dipped down into the upper 20's. I actually happen to like the colder weather and look forward to it each year. We turned on our gas fireplace this morning - the kids love to sit in front of the fire to get warm and wake up before school. It's nice having a gas fireplace because you can turn it off or on with the flip of a switch. I do love a real fireplace, though, and think they put off much more heat.
What about you? Do you have a fireplace in your house (real or gas)? If so, have you used it yet this season?

No fireplace in our house. I live in Kihei, Maui so there is no need. Some houses upcountry have. I love going to houses with fireplaces - i reminds me of Christmas and it gives me that warm feeling not just outside but inside as well :) Happy Aloha Friday!
We do have a (real) fireplace but haven't used it yet this year. I don't think we used it at all last year! Hopefully we will this year; I love having a fire going. :) Aloha!
I dont have one, But I have always wanted one..

No, we don't have a fireplace.
I happen to like the colder weather too - you can layer, but when it's too hot, you can only take so many clothes off to cool off! ;)
We don't have a real fireplace...the people who owned the house before us removed them and replaced the one in the living room with a built-in bookcase and took out the chimney and covered the opening of the one in the dining room. We did add a pellet stove in the living room, though, so we get the flames and warmth of a fireplace...and the convenience you have with your gas one. :)
Thanksgiving is Right Around the Corner
We do have a fire place but it's not used.
I think if we lived in the country and could get wood easily , dh would use it.
Yes we have a wood fireplace : )
No fireplace but we have a woodburning stove that keeps us cozy.
We have two fireplaces. One in the livingroom and another in the family room. We had our first fire of the season last Thursday night. ;D
